Country music has suffered a great loss with the passing of the beloved icon, Charlie Daniels. His musical legacy, which spans over half a century and transcends various genres, continues to live on despite his departure in July 2020. He was a constant presence in movies and commercials, attracting fans from all walks of life to his concerts. His unwavering love for America remained steadfast amidst the changing music cultures.

The late Charlie Daniels’ son, Charlie Daniels Jr.,, unearthed something quite thought-provoking after taking over his father’s website post his demise. It appears that even in death, the late singer’s blog posts hold significant relevance today. One such post begins with a quote from 2 Thessalonians 3:10 –“The one who is reluctant to work shall not eat,”– written on Labor Day in 2015.

“We were raised in a society where hard work was instilled into young folks from the time they could walk. It was well understood that once you left your mother’s table, you were on your own,” Charlie said.

“I’ve picked cotton… I consider it a blessing knowing what truly hard work is all about…,” He reminisced about an America of yesteryears.

Back in 2015 when Barack Obama was still president, Charlie wrote,“It seems that under the current administration…the traits that made America… have been traded in for dependence on the government.”. This sentiment is even more relevant today as we witness our great nation being driven into the ground by those who prefer handouts to hard work.

The singer of Devil Went Down to Georgia also voiced his concerns about the state of American youth in another post. Charlie Daniels’ words echo louder than ever today:

“The mind-washed kids who have had their mental processes warped by some revolutionist college professor who regards [Saul] Alinsky and Karl Marx as prophets…”

Daniels added, “Then there’s the mindless bunch who have no idea what they are protesting… ‘Nuff said.”

“So, America if you don’t want to live in a society-run amuck … support our police,… while it counts so much.” This is a wake-up call from Daniels about those who are hell-bent on vilifying our law enforcement agencies.

Above all, Daniels was a devout Christian.

“My point folks is that this world gets more evil, more dangerous… and the truly scary thing is, it ain’t gonna get no better, it’s only going to get worse,” Daniels warned in one blog post.

On July 3, 2020, Charlie Daniels made his final post. He reflected on Independence Day, expressing his enduring love for America and faith in its hard-working citizens. Despite the challenges facing our nation, Daniels remained hopeful about America’s future.

His song My Beautiful America encapsulates these sentiments:

“This year,…America is still the greatest and I want to express my personal feelings about our beloved country.”

This then is America!

The land God blesses with everything

No Alps, No Andes

America the Free

America the Mighty

America the Beautiful

In one of his last comments about America’s future, he provided some sage advice:

“Until America starts electing leaders who are willing to take responsibility for their own actions… there will never be street-level justice in America.” Daniels cautioned, “Don’t give your vote to some jaded old charlatan or attractive young firebrand with skin-deep abilities and commitments. Measure twice, cut once. Pray for our troops, our police, and the peace of Jerusalem. God bless America.”

Charlie Daniels’ words serve as a stark reflection of the current state of America under the Democrats’ rule. His wisdom and warnings are as relevant today as they were when he wrote them.
