Cruz Takes Action Against Opponent for Alleged Federal Law Violations

According to the complaint obtained by the Daily Caller, Allred and his Senate campaign are illegally coordinating with Schumer and the DSCC on television ads that have exceeded the coordinated party expenditure limit. This has resulted in potentially millions of dollars in excessive in-kind contributions from the DSCC to Allred, a clear violation of federal law.

The Cruz campaign is calling for immediate action by the Federal Election Commission (FEC) to investigate and put a stop to these illegal activities. A spokesperson for the campaign stated, “Colin Allred’s campaign is blatantly coordinating with Chuck Schumer and the DSCC. The complaint specifically mentions four advertisements that the Cruz campaign believes to be qualifying as “hybrid ads.” These ads are a clear indication of coordination between the Allred campaign and the DSCC, which was previously acknowledged in an advisory opinion request presented to the Commission.
