Former Republican Congressman Trey Gowdy and ex-FBI agent Nicole Parker have underscored the critical role former President Donald Trump plays in the investigation of his own assassination attempt. Their comments also shed light on Trump’s unwavering commitment to justice, even when it involves those who have repeatedly targeted him.

Gowdy appeared on Fox News on Thursday to discuss the recent attempt on Trump’s life. He emphasized that Trump is a key witness and victim in this case, possessing valuable information that could significantly aid the investigation. Gowdy suggested that FBI agents should ask Trump about any briefings he received before taking the stage at the Pennsylvania rally where the assassination attempt occurred.

“What I’m really interested in is whether or not they ask him any oversight-related questions like, ‘By the way, Mr. Former President what did they tell you before you took the stage?’” Gowdy queried. This line of questioning could potentially expose any security lapses or failures that contributed to the attempted assassination.

While addressing the absence of a prosecution in this case due to the death of suspect Thomas Crooks, Gowdy stressed the need for answers to the questions of who, what, when, where, how, and why this event transpired. He subtly criticized FBI Director Christopher Wray for implying that Trump may not have been injured by a bullet.

Nicole Parker also shared her thoughts on what she would ask Trump during the investigation. “I would be asking, what were you told before you entered the stage, what happened, what’s your recollection and what happened immediately after you left the stage.” She commended Trump for his cooperation with the investigation, despite his past strained relationship with the FBI. Parker recognized that Trump’s willingness to fully cooperate demonstrates his dedication to uncovering the truth and ensuring justice for those involved.

Both Gowdy and Parker emphasized the need for a thorough investigation to prevent similar incidents in the future, despite the absence of a prosecution. Their comments also reflect Trump’s readiness to cooperate and his steadfast commitment to justice, even when dealing with adversaries.
