MSM Ugly Meltdown: CBS Caught in Another Trump Smear Campaign! [Video]

The liberal media’s obsession with attacking President Donald Trump has reached new heights of absurdity, as demonstrated by CBS’s latest “news” segment—a thinly veiled hit piece disguised as a human-interest story. The network’s bizarre introduction, filled with irrelevant Trump jabs, proves once again that the so-called “journalists” at CBS care more about pushing their anti-Trump agenda than delivering actual news.

The segment, introduced by Maurice DuBois and John Dickerson, wasted no time in dredging up tired, out-of-context Trump quotes in a pathetic attempt to smear the president.

MAURICE DuBOIS: “Candidate Donald Trump said he would be a dictator, but only on day one of his presidency. Well, now on day 100, he had a different idea. He said he’d like to be pope.”

JOHN DICKERSON: “That was his joking response when a reporter asked if he had a preference as to who should succeed Pope Francis.”

Of course, CBS deliberately ignored the fact that Trump’s “dictator on day one” remark was clearly hyperbolic—a promise to take swift action on border security and energy independence, two issues the left desperately wants to undermine. Instead, they twisted it into yet another “Orange Man Bad” narrative. And the pope joke? A lighthearted moment turned into another excuse for liberal pearl-clutching.

DuBOIS: “Francis was quite serious when he rebuked the president on more than one occasion over his treatments of migrants. The pope was the biggest champion migrants had on Earth.”

Here, CBS conveniently glosses over the fact that Pope Francis’s open-border advocacy clashes with the safety and sovereignty of nations—including the U.S., where Biden’s disastrous policies led to an unprecedented invasion of illegal migrants. Trump, on the other hand, has consistently fought to secure the border, a stance supported by millions of Americans.

The actual story—about an Afghan refugee working with Catholic Charities—was buried under CBS’s anti-Trump propaganda. Instead of focusing on the failures of the Biden administration’s botched Afghanistan withdrawal, which left thousands stranded and betrayed, CBS used the segment to virtue-signal about migration while downplaying the real crisis.

This isn’t journalism—it’s activism. CBS, like much of the legacy media, has abandoned any pretense of objectivity, choosing instead to wage a non-stop war against President Trump. Their desperation is palpable, especially as Trump’s popularity grows ahead of the 2024 election.
