MSNBC Contributor Calls for Controversial Move to Thwart Trump’s Plans

Maria Hinojosa, a noted PBS and NPR host and Pulitzer Prize-Winning Journalist, recently appeared on MSNBC to make a shocking suggestion. In anticipation of President-elect Donald Trump’s increased efforts to deport illegal aliens, she called on President Joe Biden to pardon them before Trump even takes office.

With Trump’s promises of mass deportations looming, the liberal media has thrown itself into a frenzy, with MSNBC dedicating a segment to discussing ways to thwart his plans. Hinojosa joined host Chris Hayes to discuss the issue, admitting that her suggestion may sound “over the top,” but emphasizing the urgency of the situation.

She asserted that people are already talking about extreme measures such as forming human chains around homes and engaging in civil disobedience to stop the deportations. But Hinojosa believes there is a more effective way to prevent this “train” from leaving the station.

Her solution? Biden should create an executive order pardon path to citizenship and immediately start shutting down detention facilities. She declared, “Mass deportation sounds way over the top. He should immediately start shutting down detention facilities because, once this train leaves the station, it’s going to be happening.”

During her appearance on The Saturday Show, Hinojosa, joined by ACLU lawyer Lee Gelernt, doubled down on her suggestion. She dismissed concerns about criminal threats or an “invasion” as “lies,” and insisted that Biden should act now to stop the mass deportations. “That would put such a halt into the entire plan,” she declared.

On Sunday’s Ayman show, Hinojosa again criticized Trump’s efforts, calling them “completely insane.” She slammed his “crew of men,” accusing them of supporting the separation of mothers from their children as a form of punishment.

It’s clear that Hinojosa and the liberal media are in a state of panic over the incoming administration’s immigration policies. They are already mulling over extreme measures to resist deportations, but Hinojosa believes there is a more effective way to fight back.

Her suggestion of preemptively pardoning illegal aliens is a bold move that would undoubtedly spark controversy. But as she points out, Trump’s plans for mass deportations are extreme and must be stopped by any means necessary.
