Once again, the liberal agenda is pushing its way into our educational system. This time it’s Atlanta Neighborhood Charter School, an elementary institution, that has made a controversial decision to replace the time-honored tradition of reciting the Pledge of Allegiance with a school chant they have named the “Wolf Pack Chant.” Unlike the Baby Boomer and Generation X generations who proudly pledged their loyalty to our great nation, this school is choosing to abandon this patriotic practice.

Principal Lara Zelski reveals that many students no longer stand or recite the Pledge of Allegiance, a clear sign of the growing disrespect towards our country. In response to this alarming trend, she decided a change was necessary. But instead of reinforcing the importance of patriotism, they’ve decided to introduce something completely different – a school chant. It seems like the Kaepernick culture of disrespecting our nation has spread even to our schools.

Zelski explains: “Students can continue to lead our meeting simply by asking our community if they want to stand in order to participate with us in the wolf pack chant.” However, she then contradicts herself by stating that there will be other opportunities throughout the day for the Pledge to be recited in classrooms at teachers’ discretion.

The Principal claims this decision was made to create a “fully inclusive and connected community,” but it appears more like an attempt to avoid any potential controversy surrounding the Pledge. She seems more concerned about starting off in a positive manner than instilling national pride and respect in students.

The specifics of this new “chant” are yet to be finalized as teachers, school officials, and other leadership team members collaborate with students for its creation. But one thing is clear: this chant will not replace the sense of loyalty and respect towards our nation that the Pledge of Allegiance instills.

According to Principal Zelski: “The pledge we come up with is going to focus on our students’ civic responsibilities to their communities, families, their global society, and yes, their country.” This statement makes it seem like they are trying to dilute the importance of patriotism and national pride.

The Atlanta Neighborhood Charter School, serving kindergarten through fifth grade, opened its doors in 2002. Sadly, this is not the first school to alter their policies regarding the Pledge of Allegiance. Earlier this year, a Pennsylvania school changed their policy citing students’ First Amendment rights as justification. It seems like these institutions are more interested in political correctness than fostering a sense of patriotism in our future generations.

In another instance, an 18-year-old student was expelled for refusing to stand for the Pledge. She sued the school claiming her freedom of speech rights were violated. This is yet another example of how our values are being twisted and manipulated to serve individual interests.

However, there is still hope. The Daily Mail has been doing commendable work in covering this issue and gathering diverse opinions. Some individuals have expressed their disagreement with the school’s decision and voiced their support for continuing the practice of reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.

So what do you think about this? Do you agree or disagree with the school’s decision? We want to hear your thoughts!
