Megan Rapinoe’s duplicity is boundless and manifests in numerous ways. This was clearly displayed when she was confronted by Katie Daviscourt from The Post Millennial on a Sunday. Rapinoe, who was serving as a grand marshal alongside her partner Sue Bird at a Seattle “pride” parade, seemed disturbed by Daviscourt’s questioning. Her discomfort was evident as she laughed awkwardly and evaded giving straightforward answers.
When Daviscourt brought up the U.S. Women’s National Team’s infamous defeat to a high school boys’ team, she questioned the fairness of allowing biological males to participate in women’s sports. Rapinoe chose to ignore the inquiry, taking a sip from her Dixie cup instead. This incident highlights the encroachment of men masquerading as women into traditionally female spaces, including sports.
Rapinoe’s reaction becomes even more unsettling when considering that she, along with other athletes, signed a letter urging the NCAA to permit transgender women to compete in women’s sports. The letter purports to champion inclusivity and fairness but conveniently overlooks the potential harm and unfair advantage that biological males may possess over biological females in sports. Such glaring hypocrisy is cleverly masked behind the guise of advocating for equality.
Rapinoe’s advocacy for men’s inclusion in women’s sports is ironically contrasted by her own retirement from soccer, freeing her from competing against males. It appears that she only concerns herself with this issue when it does not personally affect her. Moreover, the letter she endorsed solely addresses men in women’s sports, blatantly disregarding the absence of women pretending to be men and seeking entry into men’s sports. This shows a total lack of regard for the integrity of sports and the potential displacement of biological females from their own competitions.
While Rapinoe and other athletes kneel for Black Lives Matter and demand police defunding, they conveniently ensure their own security is present when they feel threatened. The irony of advocating for police abolition while being protected from the fallout of their own radical ideas is not overlooked. It’s a privilege that most, especially women, do not possess. It’s apparent that Rapinoe does not genuinely uphold her beliefs but only uses them when it benefits her agenda.

Rapinoe’s hypocrisy is limitless. She promotes the inclusion of men in women’s sports while remaining shielded from the repercussions of her own actions by her private security. She conveniently disregards the potential harm to biological females and the integrity of sports.
It’s high time we stop providing a platform to individuals like Rapinoe who exploit their influence for personal gain and disregard the welfare of women in sports. A true champion of women’s sports is someone who advocates for the rights and fairness of biological females, not someone who takes cover behind their own privilege and hypocrisy.
