Shocking ‘Mistake’: Non-Citizens Registered to Vote in Oregon!

A shocking revelation has emerged from the state of Oregon, revealing that the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) has mistakenly registered over 300 non-citizens to vote since 2021. This egregious error was brought to light by an analysis conducted by the Oregon Department of Transportation.

Speaking to the Associated Press (AP), DMV spokesperson Kevin Glenn admitted that this “data entry issue” occurred when DMV employees inaccurately indicated that applicants for driver’s licenses or state IDs had a U.S. birth certificate or passport, when in fact, they did not.

This revelation brings into question the effectiveness of automatic voter registration, which was implemented by the state in 2019. Under this system, individuals are automatically registered to vote when they receive a driver’s license. Democrats may argue that this glitch will not impact the 2024 election, but how can we trust that non-citizens will not continue to be registered and potentially vote in future elections?

Secretary of State LaVonne Griffin-Valade, who only learned about this issue one day prior, has stated that the 306 non-citizens will be notified by mail that they will not receive a ballot unless they can prove their eligibility to vote. While this is a necessary step, it does not erase the fact that these individuals were mistakenly registered to vote in the first place. It also begs the question, how many other non-citizens are currently registered to vote in Oregon, and potentially in other states with similar automatic registration policies?

Despite this serious error, Governor Tina Kotek of Oregon tries to downplay the situation by claiming that it will not impact the 2024 election. However, this is a shortsighted statement. As DMV Administrator Amy Joyce stated to The Oregonian/OregonLive, further investigation will likely reveal more non-citizens who have been wrongly registered to vote. This has the potential to not only impact future elections in Oregon, but also in other states with automatic voter registration policies.

It is critical that we address and rectify this issue to preserve the integrity of our democratic process. Allowing non-citizens to register and vote undermines the voices of legitimate American voters and calls into question the validity of election results. It is time for states to reevaluate their automatic voter registration policies and ensure that measures are in place to prevent mistakes and potential fraud.

It is also important for the media to accurately report on this issue and not dismiss or downplay its significance. This error in Oregon highlights the danger of automatic voter registration and should serve as a wake-up call for other states considering implementing similar policies.

The liberal media may try to brush this off as a minor mistake, but the truth is that it has serious implications for our democratic process.
