In yet another example of far-left lawlessness, violent protesters were arrested Monday after blocking the entrance to the Delaney Hall ICE facility in Newark, New Jersey. The clash, which erupted after demonstrators refused to disperse, highlights the ongoing radicalism of the anti-border left—a movement that continues to defy law and order while receiving sympathetic coverage from the liberal media.

As previously reported by The Gateway Pundit, so-called “faith leaders” formed a human chain to obstruct emergency vehicles from entering the detention center, a reckless act that endangered public safety. When law enforcement rightfully intervened, chaos ensued, and multiple protesters were arrested for refusing to comply. Video footage shows police cuffing the agitators, who had repeatedly ignored orders to vacate the premises.

This incident follows a disturbing pattern of Democratic lawmakers and left-wing activists targeting ICE facilities, undermining federal authorities tasked with enforcing immigration laws. Just days earlier, New Jersey Democrats, including Rep. LaMonica McIver, were caught on ICE bodycam footage verbally assaulting and physically confronting federal agents at the same facility. A Department of Homeland Security spokeswoman rightly warned that such behavior could lead to arrests, stating:

“Members of Congress may be arrested for assaulting federal agents.”

Yet, where is the outrage from the mainstream media? Instead of condemning these brazen attacks on law enforcement, liberal outlets continue to portray these radicals as “peaceful protesters” while vilifying ICE agents simply for doing their jobs. This double standard is a disgrace—one that President Donald Trump has consistently called out.

Under President Trump’s leadership, ICE and border security have been empowered to protect American communities from illegal immigration, drug trafficking, and human smuggling. While the left pushes open-border policies that endanger citizens, Trump remains steadfast in his commitment to enforcing the law. The Newark clash is just another example of why strong leadership is needed to combat the left’s anarchist agenda.
