It seems that the mainstream media cannot resist spreading false and damaging narratives about former Congressman Matt Gaetz. Despite the Department of Justice clearing him of any wrongdoing, the House Ethics Committee has continued their investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct and drug use. However, it appears that Gaetz’s resignation last week was enough to quell their pursuit, as the committee has decided not to release their findings.
According to Republican Congressman Michael Guest, who chairs the Ethics Committee, there was “not an agreement” to release the report, leaving many wondering if it will ever see the light of day. This decision was met with criticism from Democratic Congressman Sean Casten, who threatened to introduce a resolution that would force a full House vote on releasing the report.
It is concerning to see such blatant bias and desperation from the left when it comes to attacking Republicans like Gaetz. The DOJ had already determined that there was no evidence to charge him with a crime, yet the Ethics Committee continued their investigation. Even worse, some of the testimony has already been leaked to media outlets and Gaetz’s accusers and their lawyer have been given a platform to continue their false accusations.
It is no surprise that Gaetz has been a target of the left since he became a close ally of former President Trump. The fact that he helped orchestrate the removal of House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, a decision that was supported by Trump, certainly did not endear him to his critics. But let’s not forget that this investigation was based on accusations of sexual misconduct with a minor at a party that allegedly involved alcohol and drugs – accusations that Gaetz has vehemently denied.

Just like with the investigation into Trump’s alleged ties to Russia, it seems that the left will stop at nothing to take down those who support the former president. It’s time to stop the partisan attacks and let the truth come out. It’s time to #DefendTrump and #SupportGaetz as we continue to fight against the biased and liberal media.
