Whoopi Goldberg’s laughable attempt to present The View as a reliable and unbiased source of information is a slap in the face to discerning viewers. There’s a long, undeniable history of misinformation and blatant dismissal of opposing viewpoints on this show, which makes it clear that their primary agenda is not truth-seeking but advancing their own political narrative. It’s high time viewers demand real balance and rigorous fact-checking from all news sources – The View included.

The latest episode offered up another serving of irony, with Goldberg trying to convince us that her co-hosts are impartial and that the show is a trustworthy provider of the facts. Given the show’s track record of peddling false information and disregarding the truth, such an assertion is nothing short of ludicrous.

Sunny kicked off the segment by quoting the disgraced journalist Dan Rather, who was sacked in 2006 for presenting unverified documents as truth. She said, “Enough with both sides-ism. When one side lies intentionally and repeatedly, they are no longer entitled to the benefit of the doubt.” This statement couldn’t be more accurate when applied to The View and their skewed reporting.

Goldberg then had the audacity to claim that the media has always been fair to both sides. She also insisted that her primary duty as a journalist is to present facts clearly to viewers. This would be hilarious if it weren’t so troubling, given The View’s obvious bias towards liberal ideologies and their readiness to defend Democrats at every turn.

In a feeble attempt to support her claim of fairness, Goldberg stated, “We have to tell you both sides.” But it’s painfully obvious that the show’s version of “both sides” involves promoting Democratic viewpoints with gusto while barely giving any airtime to opposing views. It’s clear they have no interest in true balance or unbiased reporting.

Goldberg then dug herself an even deeper hole by saying, “We can’t allow, on this show, to have things said that we know for a fact are not true.” This is beyond laughable, considering The View’s long history of disseminating false information and making wild claims without any evidence to support them. They’ve even been forced to issue legal notes due to their repeated lies and misinformation.

The fact that Goldberg cited the presence of prominent Democrats like Alyssa Farah Griffin and Ana Navarro on the show as proof of their alleged fairness and lack of bias is absurd. Both women have made it abundantly clear where their political loyalties lie, and there’s no doubt they’re anything but unbiased in their reporting.

In a last-ditch effort to salvage the show’s reputation, Goldberg urged viewers to demand fact-checking from news sources. This is richly ironic, given that The View, classified as “news” under ABC, has been caught red-handed multiple times spreading false information. It’s painfully obvious that the show’s primary objective is not to inform and educate but rather to push their own agenda onto viewers.
