Watch: Trump Doesn’t Back Down, Goes Right For Obama’s Throat!

Former President Donald Trump strongly rebutted former President Barack Obama’s claims of credit for the state of the economy during the Trump administration. In response to Obama’s statements that his economy was “pretty good” due to providing “75 straight months of job growth,” Trump accused the former president of being “angry” and “nasty.” He stated that Obama has “a little bit of an edge” and is “angry about a lot of things.”

During an appearance on the “PBD Podcast,” entrepreneur Patrick Bet David played Trump a clip of Obama claiming credit for the economy. Trump responded by saying, “I think he’s angry; he pretends not to be, but I think he’s an angry guy. He’s a nasty guy.” He also accused Obama of having a negative influence on Vice President Joe Biden’s reelection campaign.

In October, Obama urged black men to support Vice President Kamala Harris, stating that he thinks their hesitation is due to not wanting a woman as president. Trump strongly criticized this, saying, “I watched that last week, and I think he spoke down to black men. I thought it was terrible the way he spoke to them.”

Trump also suggested that Obama is no longer as influential as he once was and even took aim at his physical appearance. He stated, “He’s changed a lot, visually he’s changed. I like to say visually as opposed to from the look standpoint because of course looks don’t matter anymore in politics, you know? You say looks don’t matter, doesn’t make any difference, right, because we want to be politically correct, but they do matter.”

Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, the economy under Trump experienced unprecedented success, with a surge in median household incomes and an all-time low poverty rate. Unemployment rates also reached a 50-year low. According to a Trump White House press release, nearly 55% of voters believe that Trump would manage the economy better than Harris.

In a September New York Times/Siena College poll, Trump received strong support for his economic policies, further proving his success in this area. The numbers speak for themselves, and there is no denying that the economy was thriving under Trump’s leadership.

Trump’s response to Obama’s claims of credit for the economy encompasses not only a defense of his own success but also a critique of Obama’s character.

Trump believes that Obama’s anger and negative influence have hurt the country, and he strongly believes that the economy would have continued to thrive under his leadership if he had been given a chance for a second term. Despite Obama’s attempts to downplay Trump’s success, the numbers and the people’s support speak volumes.
